Ground Zero is a character-driven sci-fi epic about Kai Valen, a gifted soldier burdened with the responsibility of ending a centuries-long war between two alien races: the Aciel and Terran. Born Aciel but raised to believe peace can only be won through domination, Kai begins to question everything after crash-landing on an enemy Terran world. There, he forms an uneasy alliance with Aadan, a shapeshifting Terran, and Reina, an Aciel mechanic. When they uncover a weapon capable of reversing the physical and mental decay plaguing both races, Kai realizes he may hold the key to ending the conflict, not through violence but through healing.
